Hotel Blocks

How many hotels did you guys block off for your guests? Is 3 overkill?

I guess no one likes me today! Four posts, no answers!

I blocked off 3... I don't think it's overkill because it gives your guests a choice. I also have a lot of OOT guests so I needed a lot of room!

Re: Hotel Blocks

i haven't blocked off any yet...
honestly most of our guests are local, so we'll prob only block off rooms at one location, the cheapest one that's closest to the RH.

(Not including the 'no tell motels' located on Jericho Tpk)

I havent blocked any hotels yet. When I do it will be at marriott or garden city hotel where I get a discount.

I think it depends on how many oot guests you'll be having.......if it's a lot, then yea, 3 hotels in various price ranges might beg ood....if you don't have that many oot of town guests though, maybe 1 hotel with a middle of the road price will be enough

We did 2, and the price actually turned out the same, but we have a lot of OOT guests and one hotel (where we are staying, and having the RD and day-after brunch) would only block us 20 rooms until we fill that, so we did another which was willing to block us 40 rooms off the bat. Also, the hotels are basically across the street from each other The only thing I would say about 3 is if you're planning to shuttle ppl from the hotels it could get complicated with 3 hotels!
