hotel check!

hotel check!

So, after about a month of hemming and hawing, I finally signed the contract with the Inn at Fox Hollow. Like I said before I wasn't really thrilled with the price and was worried about being able to cover 60% of the rooms.

To make a long story short we realized that FH and his friends would stay the night before, me and my girls are staying the night before, and I can count on at least our BP & 2-3 other friends staying the night of - plus, we realized that the price IS high, but for the convenience of being next door and for the all-suite hotel, not TOO bad. My mom just paid $300 for a wedding in NJ at a Marriott so...not so guilty anymore

Feels great to not have to worry about it at all, now!

Re: hotel check!

That's awesome! I'm looking at Fox Hollow this weekend so I've been following the Fox Hollow threads. I like that the hotel is on the premises so people are not like getting wasted and then driving home afterwards. I'm sure it's not cheap but it's something a lot of the other RH's that I'm going to see don't have.

Do you get a discount on your wedding quote if your guests stay @ the hotel @ Fox Hollow?

Love Fox Hollow! But yeah, not cheap - we booked a guest rate for $199, and you have to guarantee that for whatever many rooms you book (at least 10) 60% have to be filled or you become responsible for paying the balance.

You don't get a discount at the RH if your guests stay at the hotel because that's backwards - you have to book with Fox Hollow to get something at the Inn, but even then all you really get is a comped suite for you and your FH the night of the wedding. I wish they gave lower rates for people getting married at the venue, but I'll take what I can get I guess lol

Re: hotel check!

My mother toured the Fox Hollow a couple of weekes ago. FI and I haven't even seen it yet. My mother sold my father on it for pre ceremony pictures and the after party. The price is higher than I was imagining but it's a special occasion, people don't HAVE to stay and it's beautiful. I spoke with Ray and he was able to bring the price down a bit too so that made FI a bit more comfortable. I blocked 10 so far but think I'm going to have to add a few more, maybe double it. My parents want to upgrade me to the ROal suit (from the bridal suite) for 2 nights (night before with my best friend and sister and night of with my new husband). I'm super excited and know my pictures are going to be gorgeous, even though we haven't seen it yet. We're going in on Monday to drop off signed contract and tour the hotel.

You don't get a discount but if you book at Fox Hollow you get a suite for a night and if you block 10 rooms you get another night free. So I'll be staying there the night before and FH and I will be staying there the wedding night all for free.

I didn't know that about booking all 10 - maybe we'll get lucky and fill up!

Give Ray a call and ask him about it. I actually saw it on another post on here so when I called about the room block I asked him and he said it's true
