Re: Hotel for night of wedding
I'm thinking about The Andrew. It would be $340 for a king room, rose petal turn down and bottle of champagne.

Im not sure if we are going to do this. By the time the wedding ends and we get there, we'll end up having to check out to go to our 'pre' honeymoon...grrr

Re: Hotel for night of wedding
I like the Benjamin Hotel in midtown but dont know if it would make sense to troop it to the city for a few hours and then head back to JFK the next day to leave for our honeymoon. i may have to scope out the hotels by JFK instead.

Re: Hotel for night of wedding
I think we are doing the Garden City Hotel too (same price/package as JSquared). I'm not sure though, we aren't going on our hm til Monday.....and we're having a big open house party the sunday after the wedding - so thinking maybe just staying at the hotel with all the other OOTers.

I havent thought about that.....but since we are on that topic does anyone know of nice hotels by the watermill?
I'm going to block rooms at the holiday Inn for my OOT guests but not sure if I want to stay there as well....figure its our first nite as husband and wife we should stay in a nice/fancy hotel.

I am staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Riverhead. I'm not sure if we're going to stay for the night but I booked anyway just in case!

Re: Hotel for night of wedding
We're thinking of getting two suites at La Quinta in Westbury.... one to sleep in and one to hang out in with friends after the wedding - think small afterparty. Then my sisters can stay in that one all night long.

Re: Hotel for night of wedding
We're staying at the Garden City Hotel, for two nights, and our rehearsal dinner is a block from there so the family and BP are as well, though I recommended the BP switch to Holiday Inn for the night after reception because it's next door and cheaper.
We are not getting it, because we don't need it for the six hours we'll have it, but there is a bridal suite for I think $549.00 with rose petals, champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries, breakfast in bed and a garment bag for your gown . . . . . They also have an $849 full suite with multiple rooms.

We may just stay in a hotel near JFK too. Although we used to have an early flight, and now the flight is leaving at noon, so we might stay somewhere near the wedding. But we haven't decided yet!
