Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay at in Nassau, preferably on the South Shore and close to Massapequa? Thanks!
There's the Bar Harbor Hotel on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa. It's not the greatest quality, but it is the closest.
The Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott on Rt 110 are not too far and much better quality-wise as the Bar Harbor.

Hi Little P - I had the same problem - a hotel in Nassau close to Massapequa. I did not find any nice hotels closer than 20 minutes away. I looked at the Best Western on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa but I was not impressed. I decided to stay (and recommend that my guests stay) at the Wingate in Garden City, which is about 20 minutes away.

Have you checked out the inn at fox hollow? It's beautiful and every room is a suite. The bridal suite is $229 and includes chocolates, champagne and breakfast the next morning.
