Re: hotel gift baskets
For our OOT bags we just went to Wrap With Us in Syosset (the have everything!) and bought cute bags with silver hearts on them and filled them with crap! haha We put so much stuff in there- and the bags fit a lot- 2 small bottles of water, and tons of food- plus a cute bride/groom candle that we also got at that store!

not sure where you can buy them, but i feel like the best way to get what you want, is if you make them yourself. get some baskets at michaels, and fill it with water, and goodies. i was going to do white paper bags with our monogram, bc i feel like no one would keep the baskets, and it would just be a waste.

Thanks - I have seen them done in a box that says 'welcome to New York - that actually colapses to put in suitcase - really cute - what do you suggest putting in the basket - or bag as you suggested

i would put in water, mints, granola bars, some candy, maybe even a list of things to do in the area. that's all i can think of.

Re: hotel gift baskets
for mine, we're doing some bottled water, a bottle of snapple ice tea (yep, they're from long island), some north fork potato chips, and some travel aspirin and alka seltzer (for the morning after, lol).
i was going to use these cute bamboo baskets that i found for $1.47 a piece, but they were pretty big (about 10x7x4) and would be a hassle to pack into a suitcase.
so we're going with kraft bags (a lil ugly, but collapsible anyway), bright colored tissue paper for filler, a pretty ribbon or some raffia through the handles, and a nice patterned paper tag to go on the front with some kind of message on it. phew!
that idea is PATENT PENDING!!! (j/k)
also, my hotel happens to offer that service (best western in riverhead). maybe yours does too? but it's prob more expensive.
oh, also map, itinerary, phone numbers, (boring stuff)

Re: hotel gift baskets
we didn't use baskets, we used gift bags. We printed out large labels welcoming our guests with a little note

I used a company that I found online - they did a great job and they shipped really fast too!
