Those who have already taken care of this... Did you guys have to physically go to the Hotel to arrange for a block of space etc. or could you do it over the phone?
Also, did they give you little cards to insert in your invites, or did you have to make them up yourselves?
I am thinking of squaring this away now so I can include some info in my STDs (I know, I better hurry...) but I'm not sure how this process works, and if I don't have to drive all the way to Queens, I'd rather not!

I did it all over the phone and fax. I did not have to go there once. They will send you little cards to include if you ask them.

We blocked the hotel rooms out over the phone. They mailed me a contract and I had to sign it and mail it back. I already knew all about the hotel so I figured I would just do it over the phone. I put the hotel cards that they gave us in our STD's. And I might send them again in our invites. I am not sure yet.

I did it over the phone and got the cards back. I made up my own though, because the cards didn't have very much info - they had the directions, but not the name or the rate.

Hummm, I might do that as well. Plus, for the STD, I may just refer people to our website, but I wanna get the info up on the website before I send out the STDs.
