what is a good hotel to stay at in LA that is close enough to do all the touristy stuff (walk of fame, hollywood sign, tarpits, etc)??
We will be spending one night in LA at the conclusion of our HM, and im thinking we should do some touristy stuff...i think we might be beach-bummed out. lol

When I go I stay at the Roosevelt hotel its on hollywood blvd. close to the touristy stuff and the best part is teddy's is in the hotel. Last time I was there I brushed shoulders wit Eva Longoria (my girl crush)

I agree with teh Hollywood Roosevelt! It was trendy, and right on the walk of fame and across the street from the Chinese theater

One of my BM's lives in LA. A few months ago, another of my BM's was asking if I knew anything about LA, so I asked the one that lives there.
This is what she wrote to me:
'Hotels....hmmm. Well it depends on where in LA they plan on going. Do they want to be near Universal Studios (its in Burbank) or do they want to be near the beach (that could be Santa Monica or Malibu or Orange County - yes the OC) or do they want to be near Disneyland which is in Anaheim and is like the desert. My suggestion would be to go with a chain name hotel, then you know what you're getting. There is a Hyatt on Sunset Blvd (down the street from me) which is nice and this would put you in the middle of Sunset Plaza where there's shopping and restaurants. There's also a Best Western across the street which might be cheaper. There's a zillion hotels so the possibilities are endless. A ton of hotels are hot spots with bars or lounges in them but I would think they're very expensive. Clearly I haven't stayed at any of those. I would tell Michelle to search online by price and then see where they're located. I would recommend NOT to stay downtown, there's not much there unless you're going to the theatre or here on business.'

I agree!!! I stayed at the Roosevelt for my first trip to LA and I loved it..just make sure you get a stamp for the club if you decide to go out for a little first..my girlfriends and i didn't know this and we went out for the night and were not allowed to enter the club b/c we didn't have a stamp..have fun and enjoy
