Re: hotel info for std
I don't have an answer for you because I'm wondering the same thing. A lot of Nassau and City people will want to stay in a hotel close to the reception, as well as people who just don't want to worry about driving that night. I odn't know if I should put the hotel info in the STD's or just in the invitations.

Re: hotel info for std
I've been thinking about these too. I would definitely say to start looking into hotels to block rooms at....I don't think it's too early. This past weekend we went to look at hotels and picked one to block at and signed the contract today. So we officially have rooms blocked now, and my wedding isn't until Oct '05. The hotel won't take reservations more than a year in advance, but I was still able to do the block. I wanted to make sure I got as many rooms as I wanted. After Oct, my guests are more than welcome to start making reservations. I'm still debating on sending out a std card...but if I don't do that, I will put the hotel info on a website and let my guests know about the site.

Re: hotel info for std
We set up our website before we sent out the STDs and listed the website on the card. All the hotel info was on there. I didn't want to clutter what should be a simple card with all that info.

we put the hotel info on all STD's... we blocked off rooms at the closest hotel to the reception and secured a set rate... we booked the rooms almost a yr in advance...

Re: hotel info for std
I am sending mine out in a few weeks. With them I made a cute hotel information cards on the computer. Sooo cute. Bought post card size cards in office max. They come four on a page and pop out after you print them. I used print shop and went right to the post card part. So easy and they have really cute pics to put on them. I blocked my hotel rooms already so it is about a year ahead.

Re: hotel info for std
I think 1 year is a little early, maybe 6-8 months. Here is what I did. I just printed them out on pretty paper from Michaels. Mine were more of a hotel info then an STD but...
