hotel info in save the date cards. i need ideas!!

What would be the best to do, on a separate piece of paper in the card, should i just list maybe 3 different hotels? Do you just put the names, address and phone numbers, or do you put prices also??

THank you!

see if your reception hall has postcards or something with a picture and it's blank on the back, this way you can print something like a save the date saying with hotel names and information then send it out like a postcard, thats what i did, i even printed the picture myself i took it off their website. just an idea

I was working on my STD's this weekend. I did magents but then I also included a double sided post card that read something like this:

For your convenience rooms have been blocked at:
Hotel
address
phone number
rate (for what dates)
what's included with the rate

I did STD magnets from Favorlady.com (about $1 each! and fast service
then I did a separate small piece of paper with hotel names, adress, phone numbers, prices and when to book by ( this way the people knew that they did not have to do it right away. My FMIL wanted the STD out ASAP so people could book rooms but she did not understand the concept of reserved rooms and it was around the holidays so I knew people woudl prefer to spend their money elsewhere once they neew these rooms would be reserved until about one month before.
then on the reverse side of the hotel info, I made a local map with hotel location, church location and reception locatoin for all to decide where they wanted tobe.

In my STD envelope I'm sticking a note card that says:

Hello Everyone!!!
We hope that you will all have the opportunity to share in our special day. We wanted to give you some info regarding accommodations. We are getting married at the Estate at East Wind Caterers. Due to the limited amount of rooms, we suggest that you call to reserve a room 4-5 months prior to the wedding. We have reserved a block of rooms, at a special rate of $$$ per night. The block is reserved under the Zwerling-Kulp Party. We have also reserved rooms for $119 per night at the Hampton Inn Brookhaven. The Hampton inn is located 30 minutes west of East Winds, and a complimentary shuttle is available to and from the wedding. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Jonathan or Crystal. Our E-mail address is [email protected]. More information is available on our wedding web-site... It’s located on www.theknot.com.

Thank you and we hope to see you all soon.
With love,
Jonathan & Crystal

I put a separate card in there that we printed up.

I just said:

Hotel information

I let them know that rooms had been blocked at the following hotels listed below under mylastname/hislastname etc......

Then listed the three hotels with this information:

Hotel:____________
Address:________________
Phone number:__________
The rate:_____________
Date the rate is applicable until:______
Miles from the church:______________

I don't think I have the exact writing anymore on my computer but I did FM it to a bunch of people you could ask if anyone has it still.

I did it this way so people would know the price in advance, where exactly the hotel is - some people might not want to drive a long distance to save a few dollars, and when they would hold until so that people didn't think they could wait until the last minute
