Did anyone send out the hotel block info with their save the dates?
I was thinking of having cards made up on Vista Print with the hotel block info [which I still have not done long story] and sending them along with my save the dates [taking the pics for them next tuesday]
I figure it gives people enough time if they are out of state to get their rooms reserved
Also can you add more rooms if you need to?

if you are doing block rooms, then letting the OOT guest know earlier is always better.
i didn't include any info on mine as i dont plan on doing the hotel block.

I made matching postcards on Vistaprint with the hotel info (see album). I didn't put the rates on the card (just the general info). I had the website address on the STDs so the guest can check our website for more infomation when provided.
I think most hotels let you block somewhere between 10-15 rooms (if you need more than that they may require some sort of deposit). I already know we have way more than 15 rooms that we will need from my family alone so I am going to start with 15 and then add more on to the block when I know I will need them.

I am having a lot of OOT guests, so when I send out my STD's in a month, I am including my hotel blocks. Better for them to know earlier!

Yeah, definitely send hotel info with your STD! You can add rooms if you fill up the ones that you originally block.

I'm not planning on including the info on the STD itself, but the info will be on the website (which will be listed).

I was originally going to do that, but instead we decided to just put a line on the STD that reads: for accommodation information please visit our wedding website..... We have everything listed there.

i was wondering about this too. i'll probably wind up either putting the info on the STD or putting our website on the STD. i don't know if all family members are tech-savvy though...although grandma IS on facebook lol

Yes! That's what I'm doing. I had postcards made up on Vistaprint (LOVE them!) with the hotel and rate information. I was able to block 25 rooms without being held accountable for any of them. Also, once those rooms are booked up, I can add more to the block.
