I thought I was definitely going to block rooms at Hyatt Place and Viana Hotel, but I just went to check out the Homewood Suites on Westbury Ave and it was so nice that I'm changing my mind. They've only been open 3 months so everything is brand new. A studio room is $209 at the regular rate and a 2-bedroom 2-bath is $309 and sleeps 7 people. Every room has a fridge, microwave, etc. and I know their complimentary hot breakfast is good because we stayed at one in TX. I thought it would be perfect for me and my BM's to sleep over the night before and then get ready on the day of. It's closer to WM and has a better view than Hyatt. The only down side was that the salesperson wasn't in today so I couldn't get info on the block minimum or group rate. Has anyone blocked there or gotten a quote?

Oh sounds nice! We booked solely with the Hyatt. Does the Homewood Suites provide a shuttle? That is a wonderful perk of the Hyatt.

We're blocked at the Homewood Suites. Our rate was $159 for a studio and $169 for a one bedroom. There is no shuttle. But then again, the Hyatt didn't offer us a shuttle either. We did everything through email with the Homewood Suites. HTH!

Homewood didn't mention a shuttle, but neither did Hyatt so I didn't think to ask. Thanks so much for the rate info! I liked the place so much I was willing to book our room there even if we had to pay the regular price. I felt like the 2 bdrm was worth it for the bridal party, but I also want to get the best deal I can for our guest since they are flying clear across the country and all. I also loved the area where you eat breakfast. I will only have about 12 people at breakfast, so that long granite pub height table by the fireplace will be awesome if we can sit there together! I'm so excited to be making some progress with the planning lol

I just blocked our rooms at the Homewood Suites. Our rate was $139 for the studio and $159 for the 1 bedroom. And we're going to do the 2 bedroom for the bridesmaids at $259. It's a small check, but it made me happy to book something! :)

Jaime, I forgot to mention that I called the Hyatt about the shuttle. I was told you have to have 10 rooms booked (not just blocked) to get that. And we probably won't have that many, so either way I'm going to have to arrange my own.

We are booked at the Hyatt Place. Just because we will be staying there the night of wedding so we wanted our guests to be with us the following morning for breakfast. Most of the people staying will be local people who want to have a good time & not worry about driving. The shuttle is a great perk.
