Hotel pricing

There are only two hotels close to the Venetian which isn't ideal because even those aren't close. One hotel quoted me $179 today which includes a shuttle to and from the venue. Does that seem reasonable? Is that price negotiable?

I'd say that's reasonable if it includes the shuttle. My hotel at the East Wind is $279. Granted, we don't need the shuttle because it's on site, but I totally think your price is reasonable.

I'm also getting married at VYC. We looked at the Melville Marriott, Huntington Hilton, Farmingdale Courtyard Marriott and the Upsky Hotel. Ultimately we booked with the Upsky. It's near two major roads, they gave us a good block rate, and we really liked the lobby area for everyone to meet up at the hotel after the wedding.

Also, depending on what type of alternative shuttle options you are looking at (coach, school bus, etc.) the price will vary. We are using school buses and it comes out to just under $15 a person.

I definitely think that's reasonable, especially if shuttles are included. My hotel is charging $250/room and shuttles are an additional cost ($250/each way... and only holds 14 people!).

Ours was $169 without shuttle and it was also over the holidays (right after New Years) -

I don't think $179 with shuttle is unreasonable, but some people might book elsewhere.
