My FH's relatives are mostly from out of state and from everywhere. (CT, MA, FL, NJ) and we are unsure on how many hotels we should reserve rooms at. I say 2 hotels, but he says one.
Here is where we are having a problem. Our ceremony is at 10:30 a.m. in St. Pat's in Bayshore and our reception is at the North Ritz Club at 1:00 in Syosset and ends at 6. The problem is is that some people will be coming the night before so that they can make the ceremony and then we are assuming that some people might want to stay overnight the day of the wedding.
Now, do you guys think that I should book rooms at a hotel closer to the Church in Bayshore for the people coming the day before or book rooms at a hotel closer to the reception... or both. Or will it be confusing. I just dont want everyone driving all over the place and getting lost.

Re: Hotel Question....
we split the difference between the church and the reception place
we only did one hotel because we got a bus for guest and too hard to plan from 2 different hotels
the hotels in woodbury/ syosset have high guarantees so watch that - we chose the melville mariott - close to highway - we only had to guarantee because we wanted to block over 30 rooms -
i would block a decent amount for both friday and saturday - for a morning wedding - we usually got he night before
