Hotel Question - with POLL! Please help!

OK, so my wedding's in Jericho Terrace and I don't leave for my HM until Sunday (wedding's Friday night) so I need a hotel for 2 nights...I was considering staying in a NYC hotel (Ritz Carlton Battery Park or the like) but after careful consideration I'm thinking it's not such a good idea...expense, plus the cab to get there, plus the traffic = not good.

So I was looking into LI hotels...if given the choice would you stay in?...please answer poll. Keep in mind that the Islandia Marriott gives me a rate of $109 a night (my friend works for the Ritz so I can get a friends and family rate)...the LI Marriott gives me a $169 a night rate (she can't get a friends and family rate at any other property, unless I go t NJ)...the Garden City Hotel is $245 a night and I haven't called Fox Hollow.

Although all those hotels are beautiful, I would vote on the Harrison House. (funny I'm getting married there )

Hey somethingblu I have the same delima i am getting married Friday night don't leave for Honeymoon until Sunday morning and the Chateau Le Mar there is no close hotel I have no clue where we are gonna stay yet I guess the place that gives us the best rate on a suite.

But I think we are only staying one night and the other night we are staying at home in our apartment.

Thanks for helping girls! I was all set to make the reservations at the LI Marriott but decided to call Jericho Terrace and ask for their suggestions. Spoke to Anna who was so friendly and pointed me to the directions of the Wingate Inn in Garden City...well, I just got off the phone with Lynn there and booked my room! Best part? It's well under $200 per night, includes breakfast in bed and late checl out, champagne and strawberries (for registering at Fortunoff) and they'll send a shuttle to pick me up from JT so I won't have to pay for a car service.
Highly recommend...mcaula give them a call!

I was going to suggest the Wingate. That is where we're staying and where I blocked off rooms for guests. Congrats!

Jimmysgrl - I was thinking of booking the Harrison too b/c of its modern look. Did you happen to check our their rooms/suites? I'm thinking of booking a few rooms for my bm's and also a suite for myself. Any advice would be appreciated :)
