Hotel rates..

Hey everyone..

Im having my wedding at a hotel out east and the room rates are $199 a night. FH is kind of freaking out bc he thinks that's really expensive and is worried it's going to make people decide not to come or that we aren't going to get gifts (not trying to sound tacky but FH just lost his job and Im in school so we were both kind of counting on some money from the wedding to kind of keep us going)... AHHHH.. what to do??

DO you think this is too much??

I was quoted the same thing and even higher at hotels out east. Maybe it is because we are both getting married holiday weekends

I am not sure all hotels work this way, but i recently found out whilek doing mine, that (at my hotel anyway) - it doesn't matter when your wedding is, its when you book the block, Had I done mine in MAy it would have been $20 cheaper, but snce I am doing it now, its more. Don't ask me why, and like I said I am not sure if they al do that...
i think it should matter on what month your WEDDING is, not what month you book

Just have a less expenssive hotel on block also
