FH and I are starting to think about doing the hotel blocks. We're looking in the Jericho, Westbury Syosset, etc. area. We'd like a place that has a restaurant/bar area so we can continue the party after the wedding and possibly do a breakfast/brunch the next morning. A shuttle would be great too! Any recommendations would be appreciated. TIA!

we're getting married in Syosset and blocked rooms at La Quinta (well, it was Wingate Inn when we blocked our rooms but they changed ownership)
I've never been there (my mom took care of this for us) but it supposedly has a really nice large bar area, although no restaurant. they do have big rooms you can rent out, and they cater -- we are having our RD there since we have so many OOTers. they include a full continental breakfast (free), and also a free shuttle for every 15 nights booked. we have 20 rooms, most for 2 nights so we'll get 2 shuttles.

I am booked Laquinta hotel also. In reference to the bus they give you...keep in mind the bus only fits 15 people. So everybody might not fit the first round & since they only give one with 15 rooms...you may have to pay alittle extra.

you might want to check out the Fox Hollow or the Best Western in Woodbury (we blocked rooms there for our wedding and they provide a free shuttle for guests after the wedding)
