So my fiance and I want to spend one night at a hotel in November for our birthdays (we can't afford a vacation because we are paying for the wedding). we just want something different for a night ya know? So I need to know something really beautiful (and affordable) that we can go to for one night. You guys seem to know everything....

Re: Hotel recommendations
Have you looked into Danfords in Port Jeff. I do not know the cost but there are a lot of restaurants and you can also take the ferry over to CT

Re: Hotel recommendations
What about Gurney's? Or the Allegria? It's off peak season, so maybe it's cheaper? HTH!

For our wedding we all stayed at The Andrew in LI.
In the city the Mandarin Oriental is really nice.

It looks a lot like the Opryland Hotel in Nashville (before the flood).
