How far in advance did you reserve the hotel rooms for your wedding? Also, is it tacky to reserve rooms in more than one hotel. I am getting married at the Carltun and am personally planning on staying in the Garden City hotel on our wedding night. I know that some people have expressed an interest in staying there too but I am aware that it is definitely on the pricy side. My thoughts were to block some rooms at the Garden City hotel and then some a cheaper nearby hotel too....Thoughts????

Re: Hotel reservation question
I would start looking right away. We looked about a year in advance and the rates have climbed every week since then. The hotels we looked at were also very booked already for the date of my wedding.

Re: Hotel reservation question
I would look soon. We were told 50 weeks out by most hotels so we have a little time.
And no it is not tacky to book more then one hotel and give your guests options -- I think they will appreciate it.
There is a Hampton Inn that opened not far from there -- off Old Country Road by Buy Buy Baby if you need a second hotel.
