girls, Im trying to book a room block in the great neck area. We found some hotels but the one we like asked us to put a cc on file. Will they charge us if the rooms arent booked? I dont want to get stuck paying for empty rooms!!
i dont think so...you'd have to ask them. it is probably to hold your room...did u book one for you and fh?

I would say review the contract before you book/sign with them. HIE didn't ask for a CC until we booked our room.

Re: hotel room block question?
Definetely review the contract. They can be tricky I practically x'd out everything from the one I got. If anyone has the Hilton Garden Inn at Westbury contract I am happy to help by sending you my markup. Free legal services! lol.

We had to do that too which I didn't like BUT it's only bc if you don't release your rooms a month before the wedding they hold you responsible.
Which is why I wrote on the contract 'WE AGREE TO RELEASE ALL ROOMS BY 6/24/09.' hahaha

Re: hotel room block question?
in our hotel we had to start off blocking 10 rooms and guarentee at least 7 would be taken if they r not we have to pay the diffrence and thats why they took the cc.if only 7 were taking the other 3 dont matter
