Hey girls so I'm a bit in a dilemma with hotels and shuttles. I have 2 hotels that offer shuttles but they are definitely on the pricier end. There are other hotels that offer cheaper discounted rates but do not offer a complimentary shuttle. Being that all of FI's family and friends are OOT, I'm trying to be conscientious of the cost of them traveling to NY to see us but at the same time, I'm not sure if I have room to budget a shuttle in there.
I am considering it but no idea what the average cost is. Can anyone please give me a range just so I can get and idea? I imagine it will depend on the mileage, and # of people. All the hotels are no more than 10 miles away and I'm thinking of either a 36 passenger or the big 50 person coach.
Also if there are any fellow SC brides that have OOT guests, have you decided on hotels??

I'm in the same shuttle dilemma. I have two hotels outside the East Wind booked and one of them offers a shuttle, but it's def pricey. I want to know if a limo company would be cheaper because I don't know if a shuttle is in the budget.

Check out legend limos! They have their prices on the website for shuttles. I just don't know the how it works but it seems like it could be affordable!

legend limo charges by the hour for a shuttle. the price isn't that bad. I need to look into this too! Thanks

My OOT guest list is smaller so the only quotes I've gotten are for a 32 passenger shuttle and that they wanted $400 one way, with $50 for each additional run. That was from Sir Oliver who is one of the house vendors at our reception hall. Their prices seem competitive compared to others I've called. If you have guests in 2 hotels though you'd probably want to look into 3 hr packages compared to pick-up and drop off pricing.

Which hotel did you do a block at? Our hotel had shuttle included from RH to hotel. It was one of the preferred ones.

Oh we ended up going with the Residence Inn at Holtsville. My FH's family likes to congregate at the hotel lobby playing cards as a tradition and the Residence Inn was the best fit for that. Plus the room block was cheaper than at the other 2 preferred vendors.

I wonder if the higher room rate at the SpringHill Suites was because of me! We blocked there for $149/night, though no shuttle so we are paying for that on our own!

We have Thursday and Friday for ours. I checked outside the block after we set it up and Friday was $149, but now its up to $199 outside our block. More incentive for the block I guess.
