I'm a Queens girl so I'm not too familiar with Long Island but you should check out the Roslyn Claremont Hotel. That's where we're staying along with some of our guests. I've heard good things from people who've stayed there and there's a really good restaurant inside so you and your guests can have breakfast together if you want to.

East Norwhich Inn (10-15 minutes away), Tides Motor Inn ( 3 miles away) Holiday inn at Plainvew isn't too far either

out of those hotels...which would you pick? the words Motor Inn sounds a bit skeevy to me...but they seem to be the closest ones....do the all offer a free bridal suite? or anything like that if webook a certain # of rooms?

I lived in Bayville for a long time and worked at the East Norwich Inn for awhile. I would go with the East Norwich Inn which is ten minutes away or the Roslyn Claremont Hotel that is about 15-20 mins away.

Try the Harrison House in Glen Cove it is a gorgeous mansion! Reasonable $$ IMO - includes gormet breakfast and they quoted my 159/night (HOWEVER this is for next summer with a year and a half to go). Good luck!

I DEFINITELY recommend the Marriott Residence Inn in Plainview. It has EVERYTHING... restaurant, breakfast included in guests' rates, bar, arcade, pools, sauna, CLEAN and beautiful rooms, workout room, ping pong/air hockey/pool tables... a GREAT place for AFTER the wedding to have fun - and I'm actually having my rehearsal dinner at their restaurant, Baldino's (go check it out for dinner... you'll love it!). I never knew this hotel existed, and I've lived in Syosset all my life! I feel like God just plopped it down for me because I was going through the 'which hotel' dilemna for my Crescent wedding, too! (wasn't a fan of the ENI, which is the closest one). I booked 25 rooms for two nights (well, blocked them out... not 'booked') of my wedding weekend. And I am really looking forward to even the post wedding fun at the hotel... kick back and relax - and get a buffet in the bar for my guests' post-wedding munchies! The ONLY thing I wish it had was shuttle service for the guests to the wedding... still looking into arranging that CHEAPLY!
