I need help! My future inlaws will only stay in excellent hotels (they are from out of town). I have been reading bad things about the Hilton in Huntington. HOw is the Marriot in Melville? I am getting married at John Anthony's
Any help would be appreciated!

I stayed at the Marriot in Melville after a wedding and had a good experience. The rooms are nothing to rave about but it was very nice and nicer than most other hotels on the island that i know of.

I actually stayed at the Huntington Hilton last Saturday night. Me and FH needed a bit of a 'getaway'. The hotel is actually beautiful and our overall experience was good. The service was friendly, we even got bumped up to a jr. suite for free. We had the 'romance package' which included a bottle of champagne delivered to the room anytime you want before 11 and a room service breakfast that was good (eggs, bacon, hash browns, fruit platter, coffee, etc.). you can also look into the Roslyn Claremont, though this is a bit of a hike from your reception.
