I booked a room at the Fox Hollow Inn the night of our wedding but it is $375.00 which is $$$$. We blocked rooms at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott by the NRC b/c they were cheaper for our guests. Should FH and I just stay at the same hotel as our guests? We are really paying for the chocolates and rose petals they put on the bed at the Fox Hollow but I dont know if it is really worth it. I would rather use the extra $$ on our honeymoon.

wow, that's insane.
part of me says cancel the reservation while part of me says, how many times are you going to have a good excuse to spend $400 a night on a room.......ultimately though, when i consider how long you'll be in the room awake, seems rather silly. ditch the room...that's my conflicted opinion anyway.

I was wondering about the same thing! I would love to here some responses from past NRC brides! I'm not sure if I want to spend that much money on a room.... Does the Marriot have suites or just regular rooms?

the fairfield inn only has regular rooms i believe...i got the run down in feb. when i blocked rooms, but i was tired and not really paying attn. (imagine that, a frazzled bride )

For $100 less I would collect the rose petals from my wedding and sprinkle them myself! AND take the leftovers from my VH in place of the chocolates.
But seriously, this price is better. I mean it is our wedding nights!!

I would save the money and put it towards a fancy night on your honeymoon. Your not going to get that much time in the HM suite anyway
