So I want to get my hotel rooms taken care of, what are the good/nice places near Crest Hollow that I should call? I am from Westchester and have no clue about the lay of the land out that way and distance from places etc...
The one thing I do know is not to use the Best Western down the street.
Suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Re: Hotels-Crest Hollow?
Hi,
I just got married at Crest Hollow and we chose the Hilton Huntington.
We also booked the Execuitive inn at Woodbury which is right down the road. After DH & I looked at it, months after we blocked rooms at E.I., we felt that it wasn't fancy enough and too 'plain,' so that's when we booked the Hilton (approx a month b4 our wedding). My parents (and most of my family) had booked the E.I. since it was closer to CH and cheaper. They liked the hotel a lot because it was more private and quiet.
Also, they brought our pet parrot for the weekend b/c everyone who could have birdsit was at the wedding. E.I. had no problem allowing animals and my parents were able to park their car RIGHT outside their room so the cool draft the bird got from car to room and from room to car was minimized.
Assuming you don't have any animals, my guests that used the E.I. found the room to be very clean, comfortable, and the free shuttleservice & free breakfast the next morning to be great. DH & I were sure that we had made the wrong decision blocking that hotel, but it turns out it was actually a hit. We used the Hilton and they were nice also. Good luck with whatever you choose!
PS If you get married at Crest Hollow and have an outdoor ceremony, make sure you have your florist take care of your ceremony flowers. Our banquet manager assured me and DH that CH would take care of it and the only flowers at my ceremony was my bouquet, which I had to put down to exchange my vows and rings!!!
