The chucch and reception hall are 45 minute drive away from each other! I do not know whether I should look at hotels by the church or by the hall!! I know of a couple of otel by the church. Does anyone have any recommendation for hotels near Exit 39 on the LIE or going north nearby Glen Cove Road? Thanks!

Re: Hotels for Guests
you should look for hotels near the RH because not everyone comes to the church and plus it will be faster to get to the hotel if it is closer to the RH

ITA. It will be nice for tired, out-of-town guests if they can get to the hotel more easily/quickly...or even if anyone has had too much to drink and needs a cab, etc. For people who live on LI, they might just opt to drive home if the hotel is 45 mins away anyway.

Def get hotel near RH. People will be drinking and partying so you don't want them to drive far...

Def near reception. if you know people are going to be in from the night before you can always to another block for the night before near your church. Try the Andrew hotel, i herd its beautiful. there is also the glen cove mansion that has hotel rooms.

Yeah, I figured most people would say to go with one close by the reception hall. But I've looked at reviews of a couple of hotels nearby and they not that great. The Glen Cove Mansion is a nice idea but a bit pricey - moreover when I did a online search for just one room that Saturday night they didn't show any results.
