Does anyone know of hotels in the port jeff area, or close to exit 62 on the LIE? Have you used the hotels before, and what were they like?

I just did an exhaustive search. www.portjefferson.com is a great option to give you a ton of info. Right in Port Jeff there are 2 the heritage inn and Danford's. There are about 6 other B&Bs in town. Not sure if you are willing to consider Stony Brook, but there is also a Holiday Inn Express a few miles out and the three village inn. I haven't seen any of these places but have complied the information.

we blocked rooms at the holiday inn express in stony brook. the woman's name there is tracy. she is great! i just heard about their upgrade in transportation services too.

i booked two hotels. one was more expensive than the other so i wanted to give the guests options. i am hoping that most go for the convenience of staying right next door, but they will at least have a choice.
