My OOT are staying at the Islandia Marriott and the min. was 10 rooms. We have a block of 25 though and whatever rooms don't book up my a month before hand get released and we are suppose to pay for them. It might be different at other hotels but Tarsha who I am working with at Islandia is great and helping me out whenever I need help.

Depends where you are reserving the room. I think there was a 10 room minimum where I booked (to be honest though I do not remember). You also have to make sure 70% of the rooms are booked or you are responsible for the difference. Good thing about my hotel, they provide free limo service and pretty reasonable rates. Its the Executive Inn in Woodbury.

My OOT guests are staying at the Holiday Inn right next to Chateau Briand. We had to reserve 10 rooms and if all of the rooms aren't booked a month ahead of time then they get released. I don't have to pay anything if all of the rooms aren't booked.

We booked 15 rooms at the Hampton Inn in Islandia, and any rooms that aren't booked a month before get released. I talked with Kelly Ann and she was really helpful.

I looked into 2 hotels and am bookign with one.

Hyatt Wind Watch in Hauppauge: 10 room minimum

Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge: No minimum, but if you have 10 rooms you get lots of extras, like shuttle service to and from the RH and guests get free breakfast and I get $100 off of my Bridal Suite.

Every hotel I looked at required a 10 room minimum. Some hotels made you pay if all the blocked rooms were not booked. We did not use those.

Most hotels block the rooms for you and leave them set aside until about 4-6 weeks before the wedding. If your guests don't book within that time the rooms are released. That way you don't have to pay for any unused rooms. You just have to inform your guests that the rooms and rates are only guaranteed until a certain date.

The Hampton Inn Islandia gave us 14 rooms. I think 6 are single rooms and 8 are doubles. If our guests don't book up all 14 rooms by 1 month before the wedding, they are going to start taking them off our block. If more than 10 rooms are booked by 1 month before the wedding, we get 1 free room! They also are providing a shuttle to my RH
