I looked into the garden city hotel and its a bit out of the price range I wanted does any one have any other ideas for anything near the sandcastle? Do you have to leave a deposit? are you responsible for rooms that arent used?
alot of places you don't put any money towards the rooms and whatever rooms dont get filled up they release them about a month before
The Wingate Inn in Garden City is about $139 a night, including breakfast, about 2 weeks before your wedding! That's the best price I got including breakfast.
There is a hotel by the Garden City Hotel called The Wingate Inn. That is where I blocked my rooms. It is really nice there and I really like it. The people are really nice and I really like the rooms.

There's a Holiday Inn and the Best Western Mill River Manor on Sunrise Highway in RVC, that would only be about 10 min from Sandcastle!
we also blocked rooms at the wingate inn. the rooms look really nice
