Hi, girls.... I'm getting married in Leonard's and I'm looking for a nice nearby hotel to stay at. Does anyone know if any? I just called up some places and some of them charge over $500 a night! That's crazy! Any recommendations?

Re: hotels for wedding night
I stayed at the Roslyn Claremont on my wedding night ($250), but I wouldn't recommend it. It was nothing special...

I was going to suggest the Claremont, there aren't too many other nice hotels that are that close... You could always try Garden City Hotel but it's expensive.

Check out the Inn at Great Neck. group rate is $170-$179. www.innatgreatneck.com
There's also the andrew hotel www.andrewhotel.com but don't think it is as nice.
and the Ramada/adria on northern near the cross island is $109 for groups.

We're getting married the same day and I'm still looking. We aren't going to check in until after 2 and I was trying to get a lte check out time.

Mention that it's your wedding night and they may be more generous with the time
We stayed at the Marriott in Uniondale and they had a special wedding night package that included an extended check out time.

I would suggest the Roslyn Claremont. I'm staying there on my wedding night. I checked out the honeymoon suite and I though it was really nice. It has a sitting room with a gas fireplace...so you can just switch it on and the bedroom has a king size canopy bed. I'm not sure what the room usually goes for....but I got a reduced rate for blocking rooms. I also looked into the garden city hotel and it was a lot more expensive.
Good Luck!!

We went to the Marriott a while ago but they are booked.

We're staying at the Garden City Hotel, but they're giving us a suite for the night because we're getting married there. I wouldn't suggest calling them unless you just want a regular room, because from what I understand, the bridal suite will cost you at least $500 for the night.
Can your hall recommend anything?

My Fiance and I are staying at the Garden City Hotel, and although the prices do go from 500-1500 you have to remember that it will only be your wedding night once. Maybe you can cut down on other things and spoil yourself. Remember, after a long day that we will all have, it is well worth the money. You get a bottle of champagne waiting for you in the room with a tray of chocolate covered strawberries and breakfast in the morning.
