I need to book a hotel for my wedding night, 8/8/08.
We live in Queens and would be willing to stay in the city, Queens and in LI but no more than 35 minutes outside of queens.
Our budget is $265 and below. Any that have honymoon suites or honeymoon packages would be great.
Thanks.

Re: Hotels for Wedding Night
Garden City Hotel or the Inn At Great Neck would probably be your best bet.

We stayed at the Garden City Hotel and we did not think that the room was worth the price.....

La Quinta Inn & Suites 821 Stewart Avenue Garden City, NY 11530
I've heard their bridal suite is very nice.

Re: Hotels for Wedding Night
Garden City Hotel is nice, plus they have a club downstairs. Not sure if your into that, but it's nice.
If your reception is in NYC, why don't you stay in the city. I live in the city and there are so many places to stay plus the summer time is a great time to come in and explore.
Go on travelocity.com or hotels.com and search hotels. They will give you quotes and availability.
Good Luck!

Re: Hotels for Wedding Night
Stay at one of the hotels in the city. That would be nicer, instead of travelling into Queens or LI.
Check the last few pages of the Sunday Times travel section. There are usually some hotels in the city that offer packages. Since your wedding is on a Thursday, you may be able to get a two day or even three day package.

Re: Hotels for Wedding Night
if u want a place in the city 'On the Ave' on the upper west side is great...the bed & pillows are SO comfy & they're pretty reasonably priced! there's also the Le Parker Meridien as well...i have no idea what the prices are - but u can go there for an amazing AMAZING breakfast(even if u dont stay over)...the breakfast is pricey but seriously OUT OF THIS WORLD. For our wedding night we stayed at the Garden City hotel...the price was more than what u posted, but it was FABULOUS. we were treated like royalty. u can also try the wingate inn(garden city) or the Inn at Fox Hollow. good luck!

how nice -central park! i'd stay in the city if i were u. sometimes if u sign in with a new bank account they give u a free hotel room.. u can look for deals like that if u have time..we got a free night in the marriott by bryant park in the city .. when we got engaged. it was nice. there are other marriotts in the city maybe one closer to central park..
