Hotels in Cinque Terre, Italy

Has anyone ever been? Do you know of any hotels that you would recommend. We are going there for the HM and this is the last part holding us up from booking...

here is a great site that you will get ALLLLLL the info you need seriously...now i had heard of it before but didnt think to check for the hm until jessica (belongs2danbuckley)told me to. Well i read so much on barcelona i know everything now. They have a list of all restaurants, nightlife, attractions, the people, food, culture, and lots and lots of tips. ALSO for each place there is a message board. This was extremely helpful. SO many people who visited the area answer peoples questions. As far as best hotels, best area to stay in, best restaurants and more.

Oh yeah the site lol...www.frommers.com

Thanks! I'm going to check this out now.

I'll keep you guys posted where we book for those who are also interested in Italy. We've been looking at Rick Steves too- he's a very popular tour reviewer (not sure if that's what you call them- lol) that FH loves....

Re: Hotels in Cinque Terre, Italy

Ive been there and LOVED it! One of my favorite places. When I got there, there was a lightning storm and all the power was out in the whole town. I was backpacking. Another guy I met told my friend and me to go to an internet cafe and ask the local guy that runs it where to stay. All the hotels were booked. So he called his mom, and she said that the two people that were going to stay there cant because of the storm. So my friend and I stayed at this little Italian woman's house. She cooked for us and washed out clothes. We payed her $50 a night! Amazing experience! We walked for one town to the next through the hills where you have the most amazing view of the vineyards and the water! Crystal blue! The food is to die for and the nightlife was so much fun! You will absolutely love it there! Ahhh, I want to go back now!

This is similiar to the other experiences we have heard from friends... We would love to just 'wing it' but b/c it's the HM. What town would you recommend to stay in?

tripadvisor will just leave me more confused hahahaha, the reviews can be helpful but in a way like i said can confuse you more. Frommers was so detailed and had so much info it was great. Evenfor the restaurants it will tell you how much the price range for a meal is there.

I highly recommend Frommers too! We bought the book for our Tahiti trip and I've already booked the best restaurant in Bora Bora! I'll FM you my review on Cique Terre!
