Hotels in London and Amsterdam?

DH and i are starting to plan a trip for next April. We would like to go to London for a few days and then Amsterdam for a few. Can anyone recommend nice but reasonably priced hotels? Also any other suggestions or advice about sightseeing and stuff would be appreciated too! Thanks!

I did the same exact trip 2 summers ago, but reversed..Amsterdam first, then London.

I would look into a Bed and Breakfast in Amsterdam...it is a great way to get a feel for the town!! plus, you save some money that way!

RENT A BIKE! it is a blast, and everyone rides them there, they even have a seperate lane.

Go to the Anne Frank house, and take a tour to see the windmills...and of course you cant leave without seeing the redlight district!!!

DONT TAKE TRAVELERS CHECKS THERE, you wont be able to use them, use cash or debit.

London, I stayed at a holiday inn express and it was really nice. you do a lot of walking, the tube is HOT, but pretty easy to manuver. There is so much to see so I suggest making a game plan of what you DEF want to see.

I think my parents stayed at a Best Western in London- I'll check with my mom and let you know.
