Can someone please recommend a hotel for our HM while we're in Rome? Maybe near Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps?
Something less than $1k a night please

I stayed in Hotel Visconti Palace in Rome last summer. It is way under $1k and it is modern, beutiful, clean and with airconditioning. It was within walking distance to EVERYTHING. My sister and I did not take a taxi or bus anywhere but from the airport to the hotel. It was near Castle St'Angelo and the Vatican and right across the bridge was Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Navona. Make sure you eat at Tre Scalini in Piazza Navona, Best atmosphere there and great food! I fell in love with Rome and I only had a map to go by. So if you need any advice FM me and I will be MORE then happy to help!

I'm staying at the Visconti Palace too! We're going to Rome for our honeymoon in May.
ETA: I just noticed you're getting married one day before me! Maybe we'll see eachother there!!!!

We've stayed at the Hotel Cosmopolita
Its a very short walk to the Trevi fountain - right around the corner from a bank and a little italian grocery - etc. It was the perfect location!
WAY under $1k a night, and walking distance to sooooo many great sites!
We stayed at the Hotel Alexandra, right around the corner from the Spanish Steps....1/2 block from a metro stop.....a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. It's really centrally located and REASONABLE for the area - $200/nt for a standard room.

DO NOT STAY AT THE AMBASCIATORI, WE STAYED there for our honeymooon and one of the maids stole something out of my room and the hotel did nothing about it
