Hi! We just booked our venue yesterday at Giorgio's (6/5/15)!!!! We decided to stop at the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn. We could not believe how expensive the hotel rooms would be on a friday in June! Anyone have any ideas or know of any other hotels in the area that are less than $200 a night?
Congrats! Unfortunately, there aren't many other options in that area for hotels. We ended up booking with the Hilton Garden Inn. The rate is extremely high (also having a June wedding) but it's the only option I could find. HTH!
wow that's alot- my friend blocked rooms at that same hotel (she's getting married at giorgio's in september) and we booked our room. It was only $159/night but it's a Sunday
I got married at Giorgio's and used Hotel Indigo for our block. They gave me the best prices.
Maybe you could try a hotel that is pretty far away but provide a shuttle? My RH is in Mount Sinai, which is not nearly as far east as Giorgios but the hotels are still slim pickings. We went with the Holiday Inn in Stony Brook and will be providing a shuttle for our guests. The rate is still higher than I would like, but its Long Island...
Try the Fairfield Inn Medford, they are about 20 minutes away but I know they have a shuttle option!
We booked at the Holiday Inn Express at Stony Brook. It says it's like 34 minutes away according to Mapquest, but I did the drive and it's only about 22 minutes. I figured if we have a shuttle it wouldn't actually matter to our friends how far away the venue is, because they won't be doing the driving. Call and ask for MaryAnn. Tell her Stacey sent you, and my wedding date (6/1/14). She's WONDERFUL, and will help you. She even feeds into my anxious bride nerves and sends me an updated list of the reservations in our block whenever I email her asking for one. The rates we have are $159 for Saturday night and $119 for Sunday night, and both include breakfast.

Ask to speak with Melissa Boden at Hilton Garden Inn... I booked my room block there for my wedding next February. She was extremely helpful and Hilton was much more accommodating than Indigo
I have a wedding at georgios on January and they have rooms blocked for 109 for a Saturday night at hotel indigo.
