Hotels near New Hyde Park, Garden City, Westbury, etc.

Hotels near New Hyde Park, Garden City, Westbury, etc.

I am starting to look into hotels near the Inn at NHP.. Any brides with RH's in that general area pick their hotels yet?? I've seen some earlier posts about this but wondering what 2011 brides are thinking.

I want a hotel that isn't too high in price (lots of OOT guests) and could possibly provide shuttles and keep the bar open for an after party. I'd be fine with hotels in GC, Westbury, NHP. Anyone done any research yet?? Also, anyone looked into the new Hyatt Place in Garden City? I think it just opened this month. Thanks.

Not sure about shuttles or after party, but my family is in Mineola and often has out of town visitors - we recommend the Uniondale Marriott which is off the Meadowbrook, the Red Roof in Westbury which is even closer, and also the Westbury Holiday Inn. HTH!

I reserved my rooms at La Quinta in Garden City..no problems so far

ETA: The bar is open until 2 am on the weekends and the shuttle they have is only a 15 passenger though

I just checked out the Hyatt Place website...it doesn't look like they have a bar. I'd like more info on them as well, they might be an alternative to Hilton in Garden City .

I am probably going to call them soon to get some info.. It seems like all the closest hotels for my RH are in the same area so might as well check into it.
