Hotels-Saint James Area

I am getting married at Flowerfields in August 2001 and would like to start looking at hotels in the area for out of town guests. Does any one have a suggestion of a hotel that's near Saint James?

I waitressed in a well known Long Island strip club for 2 years, and have friends that are dancers, so I feel I have some behind the scenes knowledge on this subject. A strip club is NOT reality. Your guy has much more of a chance of 'hooking up' in a regular bar. The girls are only interested in taking the $$$ out of their hand. The customers faces are just blanks, trust me. It is a total fantasy. If you could only hear the girls backstage talking about how cheap the guys are, how their feet hurt, and how their boyfriend beat them up,etc., you would understand. Of course there are always the few girls that will do anything for the almighty dollar. If you really trust your fiance, there should not be a problem.
Sorry Elizabeth, if I stole your favorite question.

INFO Hotels-Saint James Area

Hi Kim,
I too am getting married at Flowerfield (in September). I found a great hotel nearby in Port Jefferson called Danfords. I think it might be a little pricey but it is right on the water in the village so out of town guests can do other things while in town. I have their number at home if you can't find it--let me know...

Here are a few

There is Danfords in Port Jefferson. The 3VI is in the Stony Brook Village Center. Its closer to Flowerfield. If the 3VI isn't available, they can refer you to a few local B&Bs.

Located on Route 347 just east of Nicols Road is the Holiday Inn Express. I know the owners (my company is building 2 other hotels for them on LI. They may be more affordable than Danfords and 3VI....they have a small health club and serve a contiental breakfast.

Those are the main ones in the area. AFter that, you'll be looking closer to the L.I.E.

Clarification: 3VI = Three Village Inn *NM* *NM*
