Hotel/Shuttle Near Flowerfield?

Hi all,

I'm having a Saturday night wedding at Flowerfield on February 19th, 2011. Are there any good nearby hotels that provide shuttles? If so, could you please provide some info and fm me with quotes?

If anyone has any advice at all based on past experiences, I'm open to any and all help!!

Thanks so much!!

Share what you find out with me! I too am a Flowerfield bride!
Have you asked Flowerfield? They may know which, if any of the nearby hotels have shuttles. They gave a listing of preferred hotels in the folder they provided me. I'm sure you have the same (?) - call around!

Hey Carrie! how's the planning going?

I'm pretty sure the Holiday Inn in Lake Grove is the closest nice hotel and they provide shuttles.. try there.

(I live over there so can give u other ideas if you want)

Awesome! Thanks, girls! Maryann gave my FMIL a flyer with a hotel a while ago, but I'm not sure if she still has it or what...I'll check out those places :)

Things are coming along, Jess...how about you?

I'm on this, photo, and honeymoon research at the moment...

Re: Hotel/Shuttle Near Flowerfield?

Thanks again, all! I'm getting a lot of different recommendations from different places (here and Flowerfield, itself, online reviews of hotels, etc.), so I was wondering...I'm sorry- answering some of these questions will be redundant for you, but do you guys think you could fm me with the following info:

1.) How did you decide how many rooms to block? How did the hotel accomodate you with this? (How much of a deposit did you have to put down/what's the policy in terms of how many rooms have to blocked?/is there any sort of penalty if they aren't?)
2.) What types of rates did you get?
3.) Are you having a breakfast there? If so, what is included for how much $?
4.) If the hotel is providing a shuttle, how often do the shuttles run?/how personalized is it?
5.) If you are using an outside shuttle service, how much is it costing/how often are the shuttles running/etc.?

Thanks again!! :)

1) I decided based on the # of OOT guests and I factored in my BP (most of them will be staying at the hotel). Its better to over-estimate than under and you're not penalized if your room block isnt fulfilled. The hotel does not require any sort of deposit - and if one does, you shouldn't go with them
2) For the Hyatt, I got a rate of $89
3) No breakfast - however, they do offer this
4) The hotels are not offering shuttles-i am hiring my own through the limo company - but the hotel does offer shuttle-I just got a better deal elsewhere
5) My limo company is charging 1200 for my limo AND my shuttles
