House, Condo, Apartment, Parents

I was wondering where everyone was living/moving with FH after the wedding....

FH and I are trying to figure out whether to buy a condo, house, rent an apartment....

What are you ladies doing???

We bought a house. We did not want to rent an apartment unless we couldn't find a house. Living with either of our parents was not an option

we have been living in our rental apt for 4 years already... but we would LOVE to be able to buy a house or a condo!

We would love to buy...but I don't think we're going to be able to with the cost of the wedding...so we are going to rent when we first get married!

We bought a two-family house with my mom. She lives in one part, FH and I live in the other. The only thing we share is the basement, backyard, and driveway. Everything else is separate.

We bought a house last year in FL. We have been living together for 2 years.

FH and I both work in NYC - we're living in Brooklyn now, but are moving to Manhattan right before the wedding. We'll be renting in the city for the next few years.

I already own a co-op (did so since before I met FH) so he will come live with me a for a few years until we're ready to afford a house. I love a co-op because I don't have to worry about a lawn to mow, or snow to shovel, or gutters to clean, etc.

We live together now in an apartment in Brooklyn, and we're moving to another apt in NJ right before the wedding. We'll be able to save for a house after the wedding.

We moved in together this past June. We're renting an apartment in Nassau. Once the wedding is over, we'll be saving for a home and my mom is basically giving us a down payment as a wedding gift (she's not paying for the wedding). The problem will be finding something affordable to buy. We've discussed leaving NY in the future, but I don't think either of us are ready for that kind of move. I wish Long Island wasn't so expensive - at least all the places I want to live!

Fh and I are renting right now but hopefully we will be able to start saving for a house after the wedding. We live in Nj right now but I want to get a house either in Atlanta, FL, or Virginia in a few more yrs.

FH and I currently live at his parents. But we're trying to find a house. It's such a long and frustrating process.

we're staying in the apartment we've been living in for the past year. we're hoping to get a house within the next few years but for now, our apartment isn't too expensive and its nice n roomy for two people.

We are going to move into the basement of my parents house. It will be a studio but we can save a butt load of money doing this and hopefully have a house soon enough.

Thanks for the feed back ladies...FH and I are leaning towards purchasing a condo. I currently live with my Mom & sister and FH lives with sister. Everyone is trying to give us advice about staying at his sisters house and save $ to buy a house but I'll rather buy an condo first. Thanks ladies again!!!

We bought a house a few months ago, so we live together now and will be in this house for several years. If you can afford it I would definitely say buy something (house, condo, co-op) instead of renting :)
