house hunting

I did not know they had a home board.....so ill jsut post this again...

When looking for houses....did anyone ever look into houses that were forclosed?

i didnt but a friend at work bought one for his son. he had to pay cash because the house was in super bad shape and they wouldnt have been able to get a mortgage.

the good thing is that i beleive they only paid like 180 for a 3 bedroom two bath in sound beach right next to an animal reserve so its very pretty and a nice area close to the beach. he is also lucky because we are in the construction business and can get alot of things at cost. if he wasnt in construction he could have easily spent another 200 grand on fixing it up thats how bad the condition was and they even had to evict crack heads.

there are also homes that arent in such bad shape that im pretty sure you can get mortages for but they go for closer to the actual price. good luck let us know how it turns out
