we are going to closing on our house on 03/31/2003 so I know what you are feeling. We were so very excited when we first started looking. Once a week past...we were not so excited anymore. I just want to warn you...it does not get anymore exciting. First its finding the house...then making an offer and a counter (this can take a while) then its getting the inspection and the appraisal and so on and so on..then if everything clears just waiting for closing is excrutiating! I don't mean to be a downer...just wanted to tell you how its been for us for the last few months.

the feelings will ebb and flow. We were very excited in the beginning. We wound up doing most of the work oursselves...checking online on MLSLI...and riding around the neighborhood everyweekend...jottiong down numbers and addresses and calling the posted realtors.
People were offering.paying more than list price
Took us 1-1/2 years from search to closing.
Stick with it and be prepared to spend more thatn what you currently think your llimit is
