House Hunting, not too much fun..................

I do not post too often, but I do lerk alot . Me and my DH have been looking for a house and we have not had the best of luck. It just seems as soon as we see a house that we like it is not available. We were told that once we see a house we would be interested in to do a 'drive by' and if we like it in person call our RE (who is a friend) and she will make an appointment for us to look inside. We have been doing that, but by the time I call her she calls the other RE and they call her back the house is off the market I am sorry for going on, I guess I just needed to vent alittle

LI houses are hot (like by me) and this is what our RE agent told us...

thursday nights the listings go into MLS

open house and bidding happens on sat and/or sunday

bid are looked at and accepted or countered on monday

so think about it in this timeframe

If you are seriously looking to buy, your agent should tell you right away when a home comes on the market that fits your needs. That is what I do for all of my customers. Every morning, I see what has come on the market and I let them know that day.

Nikki I feel for you! We are in the SAME boat!
The houses we have been interested in
1: are taken off the market by the seller (who knows why
2: get an accepted offer before we can look or put in an offer: they can still accept offers but most will stop showing it after tehy accept an offer

We have seen so many peices of junk its unbelievable! For the amount we are going to wind up paying for a small house, we could buy a mansion in many other states! THe whole process can be very discouraging at times!

We looked forever before we found our house. It gets discouraging. You just have to have patience and a sense of humour! It will happen when the time is right. Good Luck!
