House of Brides.com...heard of?

Hi ladies..I swear, ordering BM dresses is more stressful than ordering my own was!! After a bad experience with the place where I got my dress (they royally screwed the BMs), one of my BMs found a SUPER cheap price at this website, houseofbrides.com but I've heard online ordering horror stories and wanted to know if it was legit...thanks!!

I read really bad reviews when I looked into them. I ultimately am going to go with RK Bridal no frills program. They are matching the price of HOB and beating it by 5%.

I would rather go with RK bridal as well..I forget they will beat the price..do you need to present proof? Thanks!

I'll give a third endorsement.... it was a great experience, and unlike HOB, there is a physical store in NYC you can go to if there is a problem!!!!

True, thank you..these BMs are really something..I totally understand not wanting to break the bank, but I feel SO unnecessarily stressed!

If it's any re-assurance, I found the RK bridal experience to be extremely stress-free.......

And frankly, the last thing you want is to worry about the order you placed with a questionable vendor (like my veil )

My friend just ordered dresses from houseofbrides.com. The dresses arrived in about a month and a half and everything was great. They give you a great deal and were easy to deal with. Also....no tax or shipping. My bridesmaid dress for her wedding was $126...

you just fax them a copy of the quote you got from HOB and they will beat it.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please read my review!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been in contact with other brides on LIW that got screwed by them too. DO a search!

Try Phyllis at Gownfind. I wish I knew about her before I ordered.

I haven't ordered from HOB, but have heard mixed reviews about that company. If you're interested in ordering over the Web, I've heard good things about RK Bridal, Pearl's Place, NetBride, and Dori Anne Veils.

I ordered my gown from DAV and the BM dresses from PP, and I also spoke with NB about ordering a dress (I was deciding between two, and the one I decided on was carried by DAV but not NB).

I haven't received either of them yet, but PP, DAV, and NB were all very responsive and the prices were great.

My friend used HOB and was really happy with them. She used them for her cousin's wedding and then again for her own and had no problem at all. But I would be weary after reading bad reviews.

Take a look at Netbride.com. They get excellent reviews.
