House vendor dropped.... why would this happen? Help!

I am getting married at Russo's On The Bay in July 2009. Like any other hall they have different companies which they call their house vendors.

Ok, I ordered my dress at New York Bridal Couture in Staten Island which was one of Russo's vendor. Anyway, today I get a letter in the mail from Russo's stating that they will no longer be a part of their vendor program. Should I be worried? I mean why would they not be a part of their vendors any longer?? What do you ladies think?

Keep in mind, I am not getting married until next July and I have only ordered and put a deposit on a dress. Ehhhh I dont know what to think.

I would first check BBB to investigate the store. Perhaps there was a falling out bw the business owners....or maybe Russo's charges a fee to reccomend house verndors and the dress store no longer wanted to pay the fee.

You could call Russo's to inquire...not sure how much they'll tell you though. HTH

To be on the approved list - vendors pay to do that. So maybe your place didn't want to pay anymore.

Ditto, just because someone is a house vendor, doesn't mean they're necessarily great to begin with, they could be of course, but it's not a guarantee. They have a relationship with the RH, usually meaning they pay, to be recommended to the RH's clients. They probably just didn't want to pay anymore. I've never used an RH's house vendors, I did my own research.

Do you know of anyone who got their dress from there? Don't worry about not being Russo's vendor.
