House Warming Gift

Hey Ladies,

One of my bridesmaids just bought a beautiful home and is moving in next week. I want to send her something as a housewarming...what are your suggestions? I already thought of a wine country gift basket or a plant, but I need some ideas for something different! Thanks girls!

I got this for my bro - he loved it...but he's very into reading/writing...

I did a quick google search on it & tons of places have it..

When my FSIL moved into a new house someone gave her maid service for half a day. You could always go with champagne or even a gift card for Loews or her local grocery store.

Try to figure out what she needs... obviously... but if she needs something that is always the best gift... or you could get her a cute welcome mat or something to hang outside that says her name or something like that.

One of my BM's just bought a house and I purchased a laundry basket & put in variety of household cleaning supplies (febreze, pine sol, lysol sanitizing wipes, dishwasher soap, sponges, windex, fantastic, air freshner, etc.) She loved it & called me that week to say the supplies came in handy.

I have a low-end and a high-end suggestion!

If you can go in with another couple or two, I recommend the ROOMBA, I have had mine for almost 2 years now and I LOOOOOOOOVE this little guy. (Last year I added a SCOOBA mopping robot and I love them both)!!

If that's 'too much' how about a gift card to SEARS or HOME DEPOT - any new home owners will LOVE you for that, and it will definitely be used!!!!

After buying a house last year I can say the best gifts we received were gift cards to Home Depot...it's amazing how many times we went to that store!

Wine and plants are a popular gift for homes. Wine Country gift baskets have beautiful baskets for any occasion. But if you are ordering a wine basket, they wont deliver to NY

A couple of your friends and you go in and get her a 'package' of maid services - like they would come once a month for three to six months...

Friends of mine bought a house 2 years ago and I sent them a basket from Yankee Candle and then I sent them a fruit basket from Edible Arrangements....They are sooo delicious....
