Does anyone live in Plainview? We are thinking about looking at some ranches and some splits because we like the area, but we're told the property lots there are generally smaller, and the houses are very small too. Any thoughts?
My uncle lives in Plainview as well as a few friends of mine. There are mainly splits and ranches, with some high ranches too. The lots aren't super-small, but they're not huge. I'm not too good on guessing, but maybe 60x100 or 80x100. It depends on the area of Plainview. Also, some of the houses in Plainview are Bethpage school district, and those prices tend to be lower than those in Plainview school district.
My sister lives in Plainview and while her property isn't huge, it's a decent size and it backs up to a park so it looks tremendous! The ranches on her block are generally small but have basements which can easily be furnished (my sister did this and her house is much bigger.) Many people also build up on those houses once they have children and can afford to. It's a great area and Plainview-Old Bethpage school district is amazing. Good luck!
I live in Plainview. Our lot size is 80 x100, definitely not that big but the house is huge with four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 car garage. Plainview school district is excellent.
