Housewarming present

So our friends just closed on their new house yesterday, and me, FH and a few friends were thinking of doing a group house warming gift for them.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I made a huge basket with all different house stuff like food, dish towels, pot holders, cleaners...

GC to home depot. It's hard to say what they need as a bigger gift, but a home owner will always need stuff from there!

Drinkware set: Pilsners, Wine Glasses, Champagne Glasses, Tumblers..

well they did just get married in April so she got all that kind of stuff at her shower.

I do think the GC to Home depot is a good idea... they will definitely get use out of that

ITA!!!! When I moved into my apartment, the things I needed the most were things like batteries, cleaning supplies, things like dish detergent and sponges, even those little felt things that go at the bottom of chair legs, and 3M hooks in supply!! This would be an awesome gift. And if you wanted to add even more, you could add a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses....take out menus from their new area, and even a gift card to a local restaurant.

I am going to pass this info along to my friend and see what she thinks we should do.

I love this idea!!! Espcially the part about the take out menus etc.

I remember the night we closed, my mom bought us a basket of cleaning supplies and it was the best gift I ever received! (wow that makes me sound lame! lol)

Totally not lame!!! We busted out the cleaning supplies the second we went in there LOL then we just needed menus but thankfully we found one. Woooooo!

Hahahah, our first weekend there, we went to Home Depot 3 times in a day as well. 'We forgot a light bulb...' UGH I hate light bulbs now too lol
