How accurate is the Farmers Almanac

I seems like they say there is a chance of rain that will eventually clear - for the entire year...

I wouldn't put too much faith in it....I checked what the 2004 version said for beginning of Sept in order to check it's accuracy...and it said unseasonably cold. It has not been useasonably cold!!

They say it's about 80% accurate - but my FH is 100% right that it is kinda crazy to try to predict the weather a year in advance. After all, he is a scientist, and as he said, the weather is nothing except unpredictable. He thought I was NUTS for going to Border's to look up our wedding date - but he loves my nuttiness, so it's ok. Don't stress!

PS - His cousin's wedding which took place in November, was 70 degrees, sunny and beautiful. You just never know.

I looked up our date in the new almanac too, and of course it said that its supposed to rain all weekend... my fiance and mom thought I was crazy to put any faith in something that predicts the weather over a year away! Hopefully they are right! I'm going to try to forget that... maybe it's better not to look very far in advance!
