How are you addressing your envelopes???

Is everyone using some form of caligraphy?? Whether you are bring it to a caligrapher or having it printed on??

I am...but when I told this to one of my BM's who was married about 5 years ago...she was like you are doing what?? Do you know how expensive that is??
She was like..why don't you hand write them?? No offense to anyone doing this...but is anyone doing this??

Kathleen, I think the caliigraphy is a fairly new deal. I know 8 yrs ago (my first go round) almost no one used calligraphy, it was just expected you would handwrite invites or do on the computer.

I heard some girls handwriting there's now...

kathleen, the woman i'm using is only $1 per set for REAL HAND calligraphy! it cost me $11 to ship my huge box insured and registered mail to her. not bad at all.

her samples are beautiful! let me know if you want any info on her.

i tried to do them myself since i have nice handwriting but they just didn't look that great. i'll have them back by next week.

i think calligraphy will always be popular b/c its formal and always looks classy.

and ps - i would never hand write them, my handwriting is like chicken scratch and fh's is worse, but this is just me

Yeah, I didn't want mine handwritten either, so I am in the process of doing them on my own printer.

Doing the same thing here - I think it's ABSOLUTELY worth the extra money (which by the way wasn't nearly as much as I was expecting...)!

I used Inkspun which is computer calligraphy and they look fantastic. They are very reasonable.

we used computer calligraphy (originally 2.25 per envelope but bargained down to 1.25 per envelope). I would go nuts trying to handwrite them myself.

but apparently thanks to my family and fh's family, we are sendind ours out with typos, nicknames, no zipcodes, etc.... so much for hard work!

Re: How are you addressing your envelopes???

I am doing my envelopes myself... well not ME exactly, since my handwriting *****! I am having a 'favor and invite' party with my BM's and THEY will be writing them, or at least the ones with better handwriting, lol!
I would have loved to have calligraphy done, but it just wasn't in our teeny tiny budget and my girls have wonderful penmenship, so I'm not at all worried! I know they will come out beautiful!

Re: How are you addressing your envelopes???

I hand wrote mine, but I have amazing handwriting and they came out wonderful.....but as frustrating as it was, I would never do it again. The agony I went through would've been worth the money to not go through it......and it was offered to be done for me for free (to me...FILs would've paid), but I wanted to do it. feel no shame in paying for it.
