I live in Sayville, work in Babylon, an drive a Mustang.
My DH called and said the radio station they listen to has counted 35 accidents already. He said when he went to work in his 4 wheel drive truck at 3:00am he was having trouble driving, and he works 5 minutes from the house.
The other thing is, I am a CPA, so I have a lot of work to do.

We work in Ronkonkoma, I spoke to my boss, her hubby was already out and called her and said for all of us to stay home, the roads are ICY, so you may not want to chance it.

I have to say they are pretty bad, I live in Holtsville and drove only to Ronkonkoma and my car (Eclipse) was all over the road, please all be careful and don’t go if you don’t have to, it is going to turn to ice, they are a little already

I live in Nassau (Bellmore) and work in Hicksville. Not too far of a commute, but the roads are bad, very icy. If you can I would def stay home today.

Danielle went to work. SHe lives in Bellmore and works in Howard Beach. She said the roads are really icy...It took her an hour and 40 minutes to get to work this morning when it normally takes 30 minutes.
I diddnt goto work...I have a deadline tomorrow too...Im not risking my life to goto my job...I stayed home instead...

we live in babylon and i work in port washington. it took 1 hour and 45 minutes and the roads are bad!! i took a nice little spin-out on the wantagh parkway

I decided to try them, I took Sunrise Wighway, and I was fine, I didn't slide once. There was no ice, and it took me about 50 minutes instead of 30, but was really not that bad.

they are horrible horrible horrible I saw three cars spin out on the way to work and it took me almost ONE HOUR to get from levittown to syosset insane! be careful its icy

The belt pkwy really wasnt that bad, but when you finally hit nassau county..BAM. I guess we dont own a plow or a sander around these parts..

I was thinking about driving out east to look at a condo... do you think that's out of the question??? Since the sun is out I thought maybe the roads would be a little better?

fh said it wasnt too bad... just took time cause everyone was going slow...
he wasnt looking foward to going to work.. his job deals with talking to people after their car accident

they plowed every street around us, but ours!!!! this is not the first time either. when we got snow last year we never got plwed then. I am furious

Wow, I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one with a Mustang! I put sand bags in my trunk to keep it from sliding, but I would say not to venture out on a day like today with it.

I used to have a firebird, and I used to also put the sandbags in the back..Didnt help much! I will never buy a rear wheel drive car again unless I have another car to use for everyday driving!
And I have to go to work tonight at 11 pm.. I really dont want to be out on the roads
