love my FH.. This weekend I was suppose to go to PA to celebrate Thanksgiving with his mom's family. I was up all night tossing and turning bc I can't afford the trip now after I just paid $500 off my $925 dentist bill (I had a wisdom tooth pulled on Tuesday cavities fixed and a cleaning, mind you I still have to go back and and my other tooth pulled), paid $300 for a test I have to take to finish my certification, student loans, cell bill rent and we have Christmas coming up and we have a payment of $1500 towards the reception in Jan. We also have to give $100 deposit for our flight to Germany in Sept by Tuesday or we lose our seat and I just found out that the flight is $1094. AHHHHHH!!!!
I texted him telling him that I just couldn't afford it and he wrote the most sweetest message back saying how it's perfectly okay, in a few more days we will have 5 whole sleeps together, we will be going to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade together and have a great viewing spot and that we will have a million more together. Also that he wants me to rest my 'cute little chipmunk cheek' (I am still very swollen and look like a chipmunk on one side of my face with a bruise) bc I went to work the day after and am still swollen..
Has any ones FH done something sweet like that in a while?

Aw that's really sweet...Totally understand money issues its so difficult planning a wedding on LI and trying to keep up with the day to day expenses.....As for FH doing something really sweet, its minor but still sweet lol...He is a rookie police officer in the city and I am a substitute teacher so we have total opposite schedules. I was having a really tough time adjusting to him starting such a dangerous job and the new schedule of things with him working the overnights and us never seeing each other (we don't live together yet). Every night while hes at work, he still finds a way to text me goodnight and texts me good morning and tells me he hopes I have a good day; when he knows I'm getting up for work....Its the little things

I feel you Amanda. My FH just graduated the academy in July. It's definitely taking some getting used to. My FH does the same thing.. It was a rule once he graduated the academy that he MUST tell me one he's on his way home from a shift.. It's definitely the little things that can make me happy/comforted

FH graduated in July too! Small world lol...I make him text me when he's leaving the precinct and when he gets home...definitely a comforting feeling

It really is a comfort thing. I make the FH do the same thing bc we are in different states. I have had one or two freak outs when he has gone out with his friends and never told me that he was home.
